I'm not sure I can speak more highly of my flight today on the new airline Virgin america, they actually beat all expectations and previous experience from booking the flight to arrival at JFK.
The fact that you are working with a tech savvy company certainly makes a difference - from choosing your seat at time of booking, to online check in, to great staff at the gate ( lets play a game - anyone wearing red or carrying red luggage can board with the first class passengers).
Walking on to the plane you find brand new seats (massage chairs in First) the lighting is a beautiful moody blue - each seat has its own individual on demand TV (inc free TV/movies plus PPV options) - you even order your food and drinks from your seats through the interactive screen.
The whole experience rocked and the fact that it was less than 300 dollars return - with a free UG as a Welcome to Virgin America - we recognise that you fly Virgin World Wide.
